Job summary

OPW is seeking skilled pipe welders to lay out, weld, and assemble piping and structural components used in cryogenic and industrial gas systems. Candidates should be proficient in arc welding and able to read blueprints, lay out parts, and fit components with precision.

Responsibilities include welding in various positions (6G preferred), using GTAW-TIG where required, inspecting bead size, and ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical school preferred.
• Experience welding, layout, and fitting parts per sketches/blueprints.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks and operate welding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Layout, position, align, and fit components per drawings.
• Weld/assemble spool pieces and final assemblies.
• Use arc, TIG, and submerged arc welding processes.
• Inspect welds for bead size and quality; prepare and finish joints.
• Assist with rework and repair of components as needed.
