Qualifications

• Must be qualified and certified to AWS D1.1 Structural welder; 120 days from start to obtain if not completed.
• Must be a US Citizen with ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
• Welders must be capable of welding dissimilar metals such as copper to steel.
• Must read and interpret blueprints, sketches and diagrams.
• Work may require standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Protective equipment and safety measures are mandatory (glasses, gloves, helmet, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Welds metal components to fabricate or repair products per work orders using various welding methods.
• Welds parts using gas, MIG, TIG and silver brazing processes on different metals.
• Performs pre-heating, heat treating, cutting, grinding and assembly prep for welding.
• Locates and repairs cracks in engine cylinder heads using inspection tools.
• Works in flat, vertical, horizontal and overhead positions.
