Job summary

Kendall Howard LLC in Chisago City, MN is seeking a Welder Setup Operator responsible for setup, maintenance and operation of assigned weld equipment. Under supervision, you will complete work orders according to instructions, verify revision levels, check parts to print, label parts and move them to the next area.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain weld equipment and run production orders.
• Verify work orders and revision levels match paperwork.
• Check all parts against prints and ensure proper labeling and movement to the next area.
• Inform supervisor of irregularities and maintain area cleanliness and safety.
• Assist in safety improvements and equipment repairs as needed.
• Ensure high quality parts and meet KPIs.
• Train and provide feedback for new staff.

JobSummary:

Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor and the V.P. of Production, they will complete all work orders assigned to them according to the specific work order instructions.

• Complete all work orders assigned to that area
• Check that all paperwork on each job order has the matching revision level
• Check all parts to print
• Ensures all parts are properly labeled and moved to the next area when completed
• Informs the Shift Supervisor and the V.P. of Productionabout any irregularities on work orders
• Maintain their area regarding organization and cleanliness
• Follow all safety procedures and policies without exception
• Works with the V.P. of Production to improve and maintain safety systems and procedures
• Troubleshoot and assist in the repair of equipment as requested
• Maintain the highest level of quality in all parts that are produced
• Works with the Quality Auditors, Quality Manager, and others to ensure quality parts are always produced
• Meet all Key Performance Indicators
• Works with HR and department lead to train new staff
• Assists in the evaluation by providing regular feedback of new and current staff

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years of welding experience preferred
