Job summary

Kendall Howard in Chisago City, MN seeks a Welder Setup Operator to handle setup, maintenance, and operation of machines. You will complete work orders per instructions under the Shift Supervisor and VP of Production, ensuring quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and operate machines for assigned work orders.
• Check paperwork on each job order and ensure revision level matches.
• Verify parts to print and proper labeling; move to next area when complete.
• Inform supervisor of irregularities on work orders and maintain area cleanliness.
• Follow safety procedures and assist in improving safety systems with the VP of Production.
• Troubleshoot and assist in equipment repair as requested; ensure quality parts.

JobSummary:

The Welder Setup Operator position is accountable for the setup, maintenance, and operation of the machines assigned to them. Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor and the V.P. of Production, they will complete all work orders assigned to them according to the specific work order instructions.

• Complete all work orders assigned to that area
• Check that all paperwork on each job order has the matching revision level
• Check all parts to print
• Ensures all parts are properly labeled and moved to the next area when completed
• Informs the Shift Supervisor and the V.P. of Productionabout any irregularities on work orders
• Maintain their area regarding organization and cleanliness
• Follow all safety procedures and policies without exception
• Works with the V.P. of Production to improve and maintain safety systems and procedures
• Troubleshoot and assist in the repair of equipment as requested
• Maintain the highest level of quality in all parts that are produced
• Works with the Quality Auditors, Quality Manager, and others to ensure quality parts are always produced
• Meet all Key Performance Indicators
• Works with HR and department lead to train new staff
• Assists in the evaluation by providing regular feedback of new and current staff

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years of welding experience preferred
