Job summary

TrueNorth Steel in Billings, MT is seeking a Welding Team Lead to supervise the welding crew on the production floor, driving safety, quality and productivity in daily operations.

This role requires strong leadership, experience in welding and personnel management, and the ability to read complex drawings. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Shift is Monday–Thursday, 4:00 pm–3:45 am with overtime as required; comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of welding experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise designated employees on the production floor.
• Direct and lead daily shop floor activities for the designated area.
• Monitor time and attendance; ensure accurate clock-in/out in Shop-Trak.
• Oversee quality and safety for the area; mentor and train staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and PTO approvals; promote core values.
