Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years welding experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong knowledge of material processing and welding.
• Experience in fabrication, welding inspection, or heavy industrial manufacturing.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools.
• Experience in blueprint reading and GD&T.
• Understanding of the AWS D1.1 certification.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage hourly welding staff to meet volume and quality targets.
• Coach, counsel, and discipline employees and enforce procedures.
• Schedule and assign personnel; monitor progress and adjust priorities.
• Ensure equipment is operating; coordinate repairs.
• Perform daily inspections on welded/fabricated components.
• Lead daily safety observations and PPE compliance.
• Verify timecards and manage PTO requests.
• Oversee subassembly inventory and supply levels.

Job Summary

The Welding Supervisor oversees hourly employees engaged in processing and welding, ensuring production meets established volume and quality targets and customer requirements.

• Weekend Shift Hours: 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Friday - Sunday, with availability to work overtime as needed.

Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Accomplish Manufacturing Staff Results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling and disciplining employees, initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies and procedures
• Maintains weld shop staff by selecting, orienting and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities
• Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries
• Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repair and the evaluation of equipment
• Perform daily inspections on welded and fabricated components produced through processes such as laser cutting, brake, welding, and assembly
• Perform daily safety observations, ensure PPE compliance and drive daily safety culture
• Ensures accuracy of employee timecards and managed personnel PTO requests
• Manges the subassembly inventory and ensure enough supply

Minimum Requirements
