ManpowerGroup is seeking a Welder in Clare, MI to support fabrication and welding operations. The role requires blueprint reading skills, adherence to customer specifications, and a strong commitment to quality.

Located in Clare, MI, the position offers a 4 pm – 2 am shift. This temporary assignment runs from immediate start to mid-December, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and on-the-job training for teammates.

Qualifications

2-5 years related experience and/or training.
Ability to read and interpret welding symbols; willingness to teach blueprint and welding symbol interpretation to Welder 2 and Welder 3.
Proficiency using fabrication measurement tools (squares, tape measures, levels, magnets) and weld gauges to check weld size.
Experience performing quality audits, using QC packets to determine build quantity, and supporting the quality system and procedures.
Ability to operate forklifts, hoists, and cranes, and to use hand power tools such as grinders, belt sanders, and die grinders.

Responsabilités

Utilize blueprints to fit and weld metal components to customer supplied specifications.
Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding to meet build requirements.
Lay out, position, align, and fit components together; bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure them for welding.
Set up and adjust GMAW and FCAW equipment to perform quality welds, including MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Use plasma and/or oxy fuel cutting torches, CAC gouging machine for grooves and CJP welds, and perform quality audits when the Quality Auditor is unavailable.
