Job summary

Apex Geotech Drilling is seeking a skilled welder to perform structural and precision welding on drilling equipment components using MIG, TIG, and stick methods. You will read fabrication drawings, set up welding equipment, select fillers, and weld to AWS/WPS specifications.

You will inspect welds, repair defects, grind finished welds, and maintain equipment while following safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in MIG welding; TIG preferred.

Responsibilities

• Weld structural steel assemblies per blueprints and weld procedure specifications (WPS).
• Set up welding equipment and select appropriate filler materials.
• Inspect welds for defects and perform repairs as needed.
• Grind and finish welds to specification.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
• Maintain welding equipment in good working order.
• Follow all safety protocols including hot work and PPE requirements.
