Job summary

CNH is seeking a Welder in Minnesota to fabricate metal components, interpret blueprints, and maintain welding equipment. The role emphasizes producing strong, leak-proof welds that meet specifications, with opportunities for skill growth and safe, efficient work practices.

Responsibilities include following safety guidelines, reading route sheets, and using fixtures and positioners. The position requires good welding technique across various metals and thicknesses.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Gas Metal Arc welding and various spray arc techniques.
• Understanding weld symbols, metallurgy, and metal properties.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measurement tools.
• Skill in achieving proper fusion, penetration and strength.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety, environmental, and quality requirements and procedures.
• Work from shop orders, route sheets, and supervisor directions.
• Maintain welding tips and equipment.
• Weld components and units with specified weld type and strength.
• Handle welding fixtures and positioners as indicated on routes.
• Weld beads to meet specifications and ensure leak-proof seams.
• Create weldments of simple to complex design.
• Adjust amperage and voltage for quality welds at max speed.
• Ensure accurate alignment and fit, clean fixtures and parts.
• Produce smooth, strong, leak-proof welds as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
