Ottenweller Company Inc. seeks an experienced welder to support welding staff, fixtures, and process development. The role involves studying blueprints, setting up fixtures, and operating welding equipment with careful control of voltage, amperage, and tool selection.
You will perform NDT and quality checks, assist with fixture fabrication, and collaborate with engineering on manufacturability and cost modeling using Solidworks.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), two years of experience at OCI using welding technology and overhead cranes required. Must have been a proven A-Level Welder with nothing more than an active verbal warning on record. Must have passed internal Blueprint and GD&T Training/Tests and has demonstrated expertise at weld symbols, grinding symbols, and datum structures. Must be proficient at Bluco Table Setup procedures. Must be proficient at Weld inspection, including dye penetration and Ultrasonic Testing inspection. Must have demonstrated Solidworks experience for use in cost modeling.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with vendors and employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and volume.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
