Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector - Welding to ensure welded components meet engineering drawings and quality standards. You will perform dimensional checks, visual inspections, and NDT where applicable, identifying defects and recording results.

You will work with welders and engineers, support root cause analyses, and help maintain thorough quality records. The role emphasizes safety and procedural adherence in a busy manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of quality inspection or welding experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of welding symbols and standards (ANSI, AWS, ISO).
• Familiarity with welding processes including GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and SMAW.
• Proficient in using measurement and inspection tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Effective documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect welded components and assemblies for compliance with drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Perform dimensional checks, visual inspections, and applicable NDT methods.
• Identify weld defects including cracks, porosity, undercutting, and incomplete fusion.
• Document inspection findings, deviations, and corrective actions clearly.
• Collaborate with welders and production teams to communicate issues and ensure timely corrections.
• Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) and support process improvements.
• Maintain complete and traceable quality records per internal policies and standards.
• Monitor adherence to welding procedures, material usage, techniques, and machine settings.
• Perform in-process inspections to identify and correct issues early.
• Enforce safety protocols throughout the manufacturing environment.
