Job summary

Multisource Manufacturing LLC in Granite City, IL, is seeking a Welding Quality Inspector to ensure welded assemblies, pressure vessels, and fabrications meet code and customer requirements. Qualifications

• Hands-on welding inspection experience and familiarity with quality systems.
• Experience inspecting ASME code weldments and pressure vessels preferred.
• Knowledge of ASME Section VIII and IX and welding symbols.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections of welded fabrications, pressure vessels, and structural assemblies.
• Verify compliance with ASME Section VIII, ASME Section IX, customer specifications, engineering drawings, and company quality standards.
• Inspect weld preparation, fit-up, dimensional tolerances, weld profiles, and completed weldments.
• Verify compliance with WPS and Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQ).
• Review weld maps, travelers, inspection reports, and manufacturing documentation.
• Identify and document nonconforming conditions.
• Support VT, PT, MT, UT, and RT examinations as required.
• Verify material traceability and review MTRs and certifications.
• Support ASME, National Board, customer, and regulatory audits.
• Support CAPA investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
