Under minimal supervision, analyze technical and cost aspects, coordinate welding research, ensure repeatable weld quality, and coordinate certification of welders while adhering to safety and quality standards. Monday–Friday 1st shift; annual target salary $120,000.

Qualifications

• Five years progressively responsible welding experience.
• Experience developing welding processes for precision metal products.
• Two years college training in metallurgy, weld design, strength of material or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Study and analyze technical and cost aspects of welding problems.
• Coordinate activities of others in experimenting with new welding methods.
• Develop detailed planning leading to repeatable weld quality for single-piece flow production.
• Coordinate certification of welders and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Prepare technical reports and process specifications; analyze test results to derive solutions.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe work area adhering to safety standards.
