Title: Welding & Pipefitting Technician - MID

Location: Fort Dodge, IA
Salary: Up to $33.00
Hours: 6:30AM - 5:00PM

$5000 Relocation Bonus to qualified candidates

What Will I Be Doing?

Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily:

  • Work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment, following all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on tanks, vessels, piping systems, and structural systems.
  • This position may require moderate supervision and follow-up.
  • Layout and fabricate new and replacement piping systems, install valves and related equipment, and perform repairs per standards.
  • Have working knowledge of blueprint reading, isometric diagrams, and be certified to B31.1 Pipe Welding Code and 6-G in stainless steel.
  • Weld components using various welding equipment, cut workpieces, and install or repair equipment.
  • Inspect welds and components for quality and conformance, using measuring instruments.
  • Weld in various positions, heat, form, and dress metal parts.
  • Decipher engineering drawings, develop templates, and plan layout and welding operations.
  • Work from elevated areas using fall protection, and work flexible shifts including holidays and weekends.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Achieve performance expectations, participate in employee development, and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Maintain personal tools, meet physical requirements, and perform tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Complete administrative duties accurately and timely.

Note: This role encompasses responsibilities of both Pipe Fitters and Pipe Welders. We seek individuals certified and willing to perform duties of both roles.

What Makes Me Qualified?

  • 2+ years of industrial pipe fitting, pipe welding, and repairs; certification preferred.

Physical Demands

Must meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, operating tools and vehicles, and wearing respirators when needed.

  • Close detail observation.
  • Control precision and manual dexterity.
  • Extended periods of movement.

Work Environment

Exposure to moving parts, heights, fumes, chemicals, electrical hazards, extreme temperatures, and loud noise. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
