Job summary

Jefferson Southern Corporation in Rockmart, GA is seeking a Welding Department Supervisor to lead shift activities, ensure daily production checks, and drive improvements in OEE and quality on weld lines.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with ERP systems (PLEX preferred). You will coordinate with line teams, train staff, and uphold TPM and 5S standards while meeting safety and productivity goals.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Prior experience utilizing ERP software; PLEX ERP highly preferred.
• Ability to make sound timely decisions through problem solving and investigation.
• Lean Manufacturing/JIT Environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure weld lines have the Daily Production Check Sheet by the start of shift.
• Monitor line production and create contingency plan if necessary.
• Complete Daily Audits (To include part quality).
• Report issues to assistant manager ASAP.
• Maintain TPM schedule per line to ensure uptime of machinery.
