Fitter/ Welder is responsible for constructing and assembling mechanical systems.
Construct structural components based on blueprints Fits structural components together to create finished systems Lays out, fits, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms, for example machinery frames, pressure vessels, and building and bridge parts, according to blueprints and knowledge of fitting, welding and metallurgy. Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.
