Lanier Technical College is seeking a Welding and Joining Technology Instructor for Hall County Campus and Lanier College & Career Academy in Oakwood, GA. Qualifications include a technical diploma, 3+ years welding experience, and teaching in classroom/lab settings. Familiarity with robotics (Fanuc) and CNC plasma tables is preferred.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma in Welding and Joining Technology required.
• Associate’s degree in Welding and Joining Technology or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of welding industry experience required.
• Current CWI or CWE certifications preferred.
• Teaching experience in classroom/lab setting preferred.
• Experience welding in multiple processes (GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, FCAW, Oxyfuel, plasma).
• Experience with blueprint reading and welding symbol identification.
• Knowledge of robotic training cell with Fanuc robot.
• Knowledge of CNC plasma table operation.

Responsibilities

• Develops program and course outlines for Welding & Joining Diploma courses.
• Prepares lesson plans for credited welding and joining technology courses.
• Evaluates student progress toward goals and objectives.
• Requests and maintains supplies and equipment; prepares budget requests.
• Maintains program certification requirements and required documentation.
• Ensures safety and security in the training area.
• Engages with students, staff and other educators to support instruction.
• Assists with student recruitment, retention and job placement efforts; coordinates adjunct instructors.
• Manages scheduling, syllabi development and course delivery.
