Job summary

Project LIFT is seeking a Welding Vocational Instructor in Florida to teach welding and metal fabrication to participants. The role includes transporting participants to and from school or home and ensuring safety protocols are followed during activities.

Hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with a pay range of $25–$27 per hour. The instructor will guide students toward vocational goals and maintain documentation as required by the program.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of welding processes and metal fabrication.
• Ability to supervise and mentor students.
• Clean driving record and safe driving habits.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and monitor Project LIFT participants in the use and care of equipment and materials.
• Demonstrate safe and effective use of vocational program tools and equipment.
• Provide supervision to ensure proper safety equipment is worn.
• Instruct and mentor participants individually and in groups.
• Establish clear objectives for projects and communicate them to participants.
• Prepare materials for projects and keep the workspace organized.
• Handle reporting and record keeping as required.
• Transport participants as needed to school or home.
• Observe safety rules and state laws for vehicle operation.
