Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
• AWS/ASME Welder Qualification Record plus 5 years recent welding experience may be considered in lieu of required degree.
• American Welding Society Certified Welding Educator credential preferred.
• Copy of transcript conferring required degree and certification(s) must accompany application.
• 3 years directly-related work experience required.
• Experience within 10 years preferred.
• Able to repair, maintain and operate all machines and tools.

Responsibilities

• Teach day or evening classes at multiple sites around the city.
• Develop and use a syllabus for each course.
• Plan, develop, and use innovative teaching methods.
• Evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate student records and submit reports on time.
• Assist in maintaining instructional laboratories.
