Job summary

Jefferson Community and Technical College is seeking a full-time welding instructor to teach across Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, and Carroll counties. Classes will be held on campus and in a correctional institution as part of the college’s Prison Education Program. The position begins fall 2026.

The role requires 3 years welding experience in SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and oxyfuel cutting; an Associate degree in Welding Technology is preferred. The department is Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 3 years welding experience in SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and Oxyfuel Cutting.
• Preferred: Associate degree in Welding Technology; 3+ years field experience; pipe fitting/welding a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach welding classes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, oxyfuel, plasma) across multiple counties.
• Prepare materials, deliver lectures and labs, and follow rubrics.
• Record attendance, handle emails, and ensure student learning outcomes.
