Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; three to five years of welding experience.
• Ability to pass structural welding tests on FCAW and SMAW with backing.
• Willingness to obtain AWS CWI/CWE credentials and NCCER Instructor certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in classroom and lab settings.
• Provide NCCER Training Certifications.
• Provide OSHA Training Certifications per D1.1 and ASME codes.
• Maintain welding shop inventory and cleanliness.
• Engage advisory committee to align curriculum with industry needs.
• Meet recruitment goals for minimum 25 students annually.
• Collaborate with Regional Career Center Director and Dean to reach goals.
• Assist with fundraising and grant writing for the welding program.
• Create lesson plans and program outcomes; follow curriculum.
• Use CANVAS, Campus Management, and Office 365 as needed.
