Job summary

Cumberland County Technical Education Center is seeking a Welding Teacher to provide structured welding instruction, ensuring student mastery of skills and safety protocols. The role requires collaboration with staff, parents, and administration to meet New Jersey Student Learning Standards.

The ideal candidate will hold or be eligible for a NJ instructional certificate and demonstrate strong classroom management, use of technology, and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for a New Jersey instructional certificate with appropriate endorsements.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the content and ability to organize lessons for secondary students.
• Demonstrate effective communication in English, both oral and written.
• Provide health and background clearances as required by district and state.
• Meet the district’s professional expectations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Establish high standards and expectations for student learning and behavior.
• Plan and deliver sequential welding instruction aligned with state standards.
• Use effective instructional strategies and classroom management to support all learners.
• Supervise students and maintain a safe, constructive classroom environment.

Education

High School/Trade School degree preferred
