Job summary

Management & Training Corporation is seeking a career technical training instructor at the Sierra Nevada Job Corps Center in Reno, NV. You will deliver curriculum and provide guidance to students pursuing technical training goals.

The role is full-time with 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, offering a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, a 401(k), PTO, holidays, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification by NCCER or AWS or ASME boiler code.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
• Motivate and counsel students in behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
• Develop and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines.
• Review and audit all assigned areas for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery; prepare related reports.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe training environment.
• Participate in student assessment panels and document evaluations using CIS and other systems.

What you will be doing

You’ll be responsible for the career technical training instruction per approved curricula. They will provide training and basic guidance and direction to help students achieve their technical training goals.

Essential Functions

• Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
• Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
• Develop and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines, recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
• Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe training environment.
• Participate in student assessment panels, perform required documentation and evaluation using CIS (Center Information System) and other documentation systems.

Education And Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified by NCCER or AWS or standard established by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Boiler and Pressure Vessel code.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
