Job summary

Pennoni is seeking AWS Certified Welding Inspectors for full-time and part-time roles in Green Bay, WI. Inspectors will oversee welding, fabrication, coatings, and bridge components in shop environments, ensuring compliance with shop drawings, standards, and project specifications.

Candidates should have a High School diploma, at least 3 years of experience, AWS CWI certification, and proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

Pennoni is currently seeking full-time and part time AWS Certified Welding Inspectors in the Green Bay, WI area for fabrication shops that produce bridge and highway products for transportation agencies with experience is consistent with, but not limited to:

• Inspection of welding, steel fabrication, coatings, expansion joints, bridge bearings, sign structures, bridge beams, drainage structures, and other materials
• Monitoring work for compliance with approved shop drawings, standards, and specifications
• Communicating and meeting with fabricators, clients, and engineers
• Production of daily written shop reports

Required Attributes

• Minimum Education: High School
• Minimum years of experience: 3
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector
• Computer Skills: Microsoft windows and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work well independently and with others
• Need reliable transportation

Preferred Attributes

• Experience performing QA/QC of bridge fabrication.
• Non-Destructive Testing [NDT] certifications (e.g.: UT, MT, PT).
• AWS D1.1/D1.5 Experience.
• Coating Inspection experience
