Job summary

Advantage Technical in York, PA is seeking an experienced Welding Inspector (CWI) to oversee visual inspections and ensure weld quality in a manufacturing environment.

You will interpret blueprints, support corrective actions, document findings, and mentor inspection staff. Must have CWI and 5+ years VT/NDT experience; strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Active Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of Visual Testing (VT) and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) experience.
• Background in welding quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, welding codes, and specifications.
• Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee visual weld inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to inspection personnel.
• Train, audit, and evaluate inspection processes for consistency and compliance.
• Interpret inspection findings and assist with engineering dispositions.
• Maintain detailed quality records and inspection documentation.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to resolve quality concerns.
• Conduct root cause analysis and support corrective action initiatives.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance quality and production efficiency.
