Job summary

Spartanburg Community College seeks an experienced Workforce Development Instructor to deliver welding and industrial automation training for workforce development, continuing education, and customized industry programs. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on welding experience, including MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Stick (SMAW) welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

Teaching may be on any campus or by distance learning, and courses may be credit, non-credit, or workforce

Qualifications

• Certificate in welding or related field or equivalent credentials.
• Three years hands-on welding experience across MIG, TIG and SMAW.
• Experience teaching or training adults is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver welding and industrial automation training for workforce development and continuing education.
• Develop, revise and maintain course materials; design new programs as needed.
• Provide student advising, registration assistance and graduate placement support; participate in college activities.
