Summary

Under general supervision, operates the manual welder and inspects/ensures the production of quality parts. Inspect parts. Help with design of jigs and fixtures for a safe and efficient operation.

Essential Functions
  • Ability to visualize and interpret blueprints and sketches.
  • Manufacture quality parts by referring to the pattern and paperwork.
  • Ability to use the basic inspection equipment (calipers, height gauge, etc.) to be able to inspect parts being produced by the individual.
  • Ability to produce quality welds with the settings the cell was setup with.
  • Ability to adjust to changes in production requirements.
  • Ability to acknowledge problems with the welder and be able to get the correct individual involved.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area by following the clean-up schedule.
  • Must be able to use the computer software to clock in and out of work and in/out of jobs along with checking job count.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Graduation from high school or 18 years of age.
  • Passing score of 80% in the required sections of Welding Excellence: Welding Tools/Consumables, Weld Defects, and Welding Department.
Experience and Skills Required
  • Ability to understand, follow and issue routine oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Knowledge of basic Welding.

Compensation Salary Range

OTC5 $20.60 - $28.83 hourly. The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(K) match, etc.
