Job summary

MODLOGIQ, Inc in New Holland, PA is seeking a Welding Foreman to lead structural steel fabrication and on-site re-erection. You will bridge management plans with crew execution, owning the Method of Construction to ensure work is safe, on time, and to specification.

Responsibilities include supervising welders, reading blueprints, ensuring quality, participating in daily/weekly safety meetings, and mentoring junior welders. US citizenship and valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in steel fabrication with supervisory experience.
• AWS D1.1 Certification required.
• High School diploma (with strong math/geometry); technical schooling preferred.
• Advanced ability to read structural prints, AWS symbols, and manuals.
• Strong construction math skills for heights, clearances, tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary supervisor for structural steel fabrication and on-site re-erection.
• Demonstrate elite welding skills and professional work ethic to set crew standards.
• Layout, align, and secure parts; operate welding equipment; handle materials using cranes.
• Participate in MOC development and attend safety meetings.
• Submit Construction Daily reports each evening and maintain open lines with management.
• Quality control by checking welds against blueprints and specs.
• Lead Toolbox Talks, safety training, and site cleanliness.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and mentor junior welders toward certifications.
• Ensure crew has tools and materials to work efficiently.

About the role

As the Welding Foreman , you are responsible for the total execution of assigned projects—ensuring they are completed on time, on budget, and to specification . You will bridge the gap between management’s planning and the crew’s execution, taking full ownership of the Method of Construction (MOC) to ensure a seamless workflow.

What you'll do

• Act as the primary supervisor for structural steel fabrication and on-site re-erection
• Exhibit elite welding skills, a professional attitude, and a strong work ethic to set the standard for the crew
• Layout, align, and secure parts; operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment; and handle materials using large cranes
• Participate in MOC development and attend daily/weekly schedule and safety meetings
• Maintain open lines between the crew and management; submit Construction Daily reports every evening
• Act as the primary level of quality control by checking all welds against blueprints and specifications
• Authorized to stop any unsafe work immediately. Responsible for "Tool Box Talks," fire extinguisher training, and jobsite cleanliness
• Assign team tasks, monitor performance, and mentor lower-level welders to help them achieve/maintain certifications
• Ensure the crew has the tools and materials needed to work efficiently without repetitive mistakes

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5 years in steel fabrication with previous supervisory experience
• Certification: Current AWS D1.1 Certification is required
• Education: High School diploma required (with strong math/geometry skills); Technical school or College preferred
• Blueprint Reading: Advanced ability to interpret complex structural prints, AWS symbols, and technical manuals
• Mathematics: Proficient in construction math, including geometry, to calculate heights, clearances, and tolerances
• Tools: Proficiency with construction calculators, calipers, squares, and various welding rigs
• Travel: Ability to travel to various sites to re-erect buildings, including occasional overnight stays
• Status: Must be a US Citizen with a valid Driver’s License and a clean professional appearance
