Job summary

Sharpsville Container Corporation is seeking skilled Welder-Fitters for our Engineered Products Group and Custom Vessel Group. This on-site role involves laying out, assembling, and welding custom stainless-steel and carbon-steel tanks and pressure vessels to meet customer specs.

You’ll read engineering drawings, fit components, and produce quality welds using TIG and MIG. The position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety requirements; on-site training provided.

Qualifications

• Welding experience in metal fabrication and tanks.
• TIG and/or MIG welding proficiency.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Basic fitting, layout, measuring and fabrication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Follow safety requirements and use PPE.
• Authorized to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, weld symbols, bills of material, and job specifications.
• Lay out, fit, assemble, and weld custom-fabricated tanks and pressure vessels.
• Fit vessel shells, heads, nozzles, flanges, jackets, supports, and related components.
• Perform TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel and carbon steel.
• Complete welds in various positions while maintaining quality and tolerances.
• Use grinders and fabrication tools to prepare materials and welds.
• Measure and verify parts using tapes, squares, levels, and other tools.
• Follow welding procedures and manufacturing practices.
• Complete production and quality documentation.
• Inspect welds for quality and conformance.
• Operate fabrication and material-handling equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and production teams.
