Job summary

Lake Region Trailer is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Chippewa Falls, WI. You will fabricate, weld, assemble, and repair metal components per engineering drawings and specs.

The role emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00–3:30 pm, with opportunities to contribute on custom fabrication projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years welding/fabrication experience or welding certificate/degree
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
• Proficient with fabrication equipment and hand/power tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Independent worker with team collaboration
• Effective communication and time management
• Ability to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with metal properties and fabrication methods

Responsibilities

• Weld, assemble, fabricate and repair metal components per drawings and specs
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols and work instructions
• Measure, cut, shape, fit and assemble metal materials
• Operate and maintain welding/fabrication equipment safely
• Inspect work to meet quality standards and specs
• Follow safety procedures and PPE usage
• Collaborate with production to meet schedules
• Assist with custom fabrication and continuous improvement projects
