CapCo Crane & Hoist in Rowley, MA is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our fabrication team. You will lay out, weld, assemble, and test components for overhead cranes and lifting equipment, using MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a welder and fabricator in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to follow OSHA guidelines.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Driver’s License, required.

Responsibilities

• Layout/manufacturing of electric overhead bridge cranes.
• Perform welding tasks on various materials, such as steel, aluminum, and other metals, using various welding processes (GMAW, SAW, FCAW) to meet precise quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to fabricate custom parts and assemblies for overhead cranes, lifting equipment, and other industrial applications.
• Assemble fabricated components into final products, ensuring structural integrity and alignment.
• Inspect and test welds and finished products to ensure adherence to safety standards, specifications, and quality control requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fabrication equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations while working in a fabrication shop or on-site to ensure a safe work environment.
• Troubleshoot fabrication issues and identify solutions to maintain workflow and quality.
