Job summary

Printpack is seeking an MSS Welder/Fabricator in Villa Rica, GA. The role involves welding carbon steel and various metals using Stick and MIG processes, reading blueprints, and fabricating fixtures.

You will travel to customer sites up to 25% and ensure quality and safety standards are met. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, D1.1 6010/7018 four‑position certification, and a 2‑year technical training or apprenticeship with maintenance experience being a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• D1.1 6010/7018 four‑position certification required.
• Two‑year technical training or apprenticeship with maintenance experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding techniques including Stick, MIG, and other processes on carbon steel and various metals.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings to fabricate parts per specifications.
• Design, fabricate, and maintain jigs and fixtures for production efficiency.
• Execute open and closed root welds using MIG and 6010/7018 rods.
• Inspect welds for quality and conformance to standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment and shop machinery.
• Travel to customer sites for on-site welding and repair work (up to 25%).
• Collaborate with team and maintain cross‑department communication.
