Job summary
Midwest Hose & Specialty is seeking a dependable Welding Department Helper in Oklahoma City to assist with daily fabrication and finishing work. You will prepare materials, polish and grind welded assemblies, palletize items for shipping, and safely operate saw equipment as part of the welding team.
The role supports welders with fabrication tasks, maintains a clean work area, and adheres to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing or shop environment preferred.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools and industrial equipment.
- Ability to read measuring devices and follow written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and work quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Responsibilities
- Polish and grind welded assemblies and metal components.
- Palletize finished products for shipping or storage.
- Operate saw and grinding equipment to cut materials to specifications.
- Assist welders and fabrication personnel with production tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and quality standards.
- Inspect materials and finished products for defects or inconsistencies.
- Move materials and parts throughout the production area as needed.
