Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in welding engineering, metallurgy, or related field.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
• Familiarity with AWS or ASME welding codes and standards.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and weld symbols.
• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications for weld symbols and joint design.
• Troubleshoot weld defects and drive corrective actions on the floor.
• Conduct weld inspections and maintain documentation records.
• Support production with fixture and tooling improvements for welding.
• Train welders on technique, safety, and procedure compliance.
• Coordinate with quality and engineering on continuous improvement projects.
• Develop and maintain welding procedures and work instructions.
• Qualify welding processes and operators to code requirements.
