DISHER is seeking a Welding Engineer to support a 2-year on-site project in Portage, Michigan. The role emphasizes developing new weld fixtures, qualifying components during part-specific programs, and supporting the weld qualification process for a new production line.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in welding or a related engineering field and bring hands-on experience with weld fixtures and automated weld cells to the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Weld Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, Metallurgical Engineering, or related Engineering degree.
• Intermediate to advanced Welding Engineer.
• Experience with weld fixture design and qualification.
• Experience with component qualification within part-specific weld programs.
• Deep understanding of weld qualification process for automated weld cells.
• Prior experience in the medical device, aerospace, or automotive industries.
