Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering required.
• Strong interpersonal skills supporting collaboration with diverse teams.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DOE security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide welding engineering services for Mount Vernon, Indiana products.
• Assist welders and welding supervisors in critical welding operations.
• Review customer contract requirements and write procedures accordingly.
• Determine weld filler metal needs and release materials to welding activities.
• Determine welding equipment needs and assist in equipment design/order.
• Review code specs and write welder qualification procedures.
• Drive quality and man-hour improvements in welding operations.
• Prepare and review welding/fabrication plans and welding instructions.
• Qualification, documentation and maintenance of welding procedures and welders.
