Job summary

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of welding processes experience (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, SAW) in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (AWS D1.1, ASME IX).
• Experience developing and qualifying Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and PQR.
• Root-cause analysis and corrective actions for welding defects.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure weldability and optimize joint designs for manufacturing.
• Implement and manage welding quality control plans, including inspection and testing methodologies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in welding processes (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, SAW) and metallurgy within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, and other relevant welding codes and standards.
• Proven experience in developing and qualifying Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
• Proficiency in failure analysis, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions related to welding defects.
