Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC in Van Wert, Ohio, is seeking a Welding Engineer to develop, optimize, and support welding processes in a vehicle manufacturing environment. You will partner with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure weld quality and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, at least 3 years in welding engineering, and proficiency with GD&T, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office. AWS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years in welding engineering or weld process development in a manufacturing setting; AWS cert preferred.
• Familiarity with GD&T, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office; strong weld procedure development knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with AWS, ISO, and IATF 16949 industry standards.

• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste, cycle time, and consumable costs.

• Develop and optimize MIG, TIG, and resistance welding processes.

• Define and maintain welding parameters, procedures, and standards.

Physical Requirements & Conditions

• Lift up to 40 lbs with assistance and perform frequent standing, walking, and bending.
