Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking a Welding Engineer to develop, optimize, and support welding processes in a vehicle manufacturing environment. You will partner with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure weld quality, drive continuous improvement, and support new product launches.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Welding or a related field, 3+ years in welding engineering, and proficiency with GD&T, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office. AWS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in welding engineering or weld process development within manufacturing.
• AWS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize MIG, TIG, and resistance welding processes.
• Define and maintain welding parameters, procedures, and standards.
• Investigate welding defects, lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with AWS, ISO, and IATF 16949 industry standards.
• Conduct weld audits, support PPAP submissions, and develop PFMEAs and control plans.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste, cycle time, and consumable costs.

Physical Requirements & Conditions

• Lift up to 40 lbs with assistance and perform frequent standing, walking, and bending.

• Successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
