Job description

Job Title: Welding Engineer

Kavaliro is seeking a Welding Engineer to support a client onsite in Mt. Pleasant, PA. This role offers a base pay range of $37.00/hr - $43.00/hr. Your actual pay will depend on your skills and experience; please discuss with your recruiter for more details.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and improve welding techniques, procedures, and equipment application to solve fabrication problems involving metals.
  • Identify and resolve welding-related issues to maintain efficiency and safety in both shop and field welding activities.
  • Oversee the welding continuity program to ensure welders are current when dispatched to field service projects.
  • Support training and education on weld quality and processes.
  • Drive quality events (QIS/CAPA) and lessons learned to successful resolution, using proven quality tools, and incorporate customer feedback as needed.
  • Perform welding audits and assessments to identify compliance and improvement opportunities with internal and external suppliers.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Project Managers, Engineering, etc.) and provide welding input for contract reviews, bidding, and project planning.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, field service, or Quality Assurance.
  • Knowledge of standards such as ISO 9001, ASME, NBIC, AWS, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of materials (American and European) and thermal processing requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build good working relationships with internal partners.
