Job summary

Fukai Toyotetsu Indiana Corporation in Jamestown, IN is seeking a Robotic Welding Team Leader to coordinate 2nd shift welding operations and mentor operators for quality and productivity.

You will monitor MIG and resistance spot welding processes, interpret blueprints, and drive continuous improvement with Lean/Six Sigma tools, fostering a safe, collaborative environment and timely production.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive manufacturing with leadership in a high-volume setting.
• Experience operating, troubleshooting, and supporting robotic welding systems.
• Knowledge of MIG and resistance spot welding processes and weld quality standards.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop production teams while maintaining safety and productivity.
• Root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve quality and reduce downtime.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Communicates Group Leader’s directions to Team Members.
• Assist in coordinating activities of the team to ensure production schedules are met.
• Analyze work problems and recommend solution to Manager.
• Assist Team Members in resolving problems/concerns that affect their performance (i.e., direct to Manager, Human Resources etc.).
• Maintain production records, as needed.
• Report machine and equipment malfunctions to Machine Maintenance team.
• Perform activities of Team Members as needed.
• Train Team Members in departmental functions.
