Job description

We are looking for a WELDER (Night Shift) to join our Alexandria, MN plant. As a Welder with Contech, you will contribute to America’s essential infrastructure, including drainage systems, pipes, bridges, structures, and stormwater management.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and welding procedures to ensure accurate welding.
• Using templates, patterns, scribes, etc., to mark and lay out material.
• Aligning and assembling products for welding using cranes, lever hoists, chains, etc.
• Using cutting or plasma torches to burn to a precise layout.
• Adhering to safety protocols to create a secure work environment.

About You

We Require:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in welding techniques, including MIG and Stick welding.
• Technical training or welding experience (strongly preferred).
• Ability to work with precision instruments.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
