Job summary

Legacy Building Solutions LLC seeks certified welders to join a Monday-Thursday 6:00 AM–4:30 PM shift with occasional overtime on Fridays. The team works on large, fabric structures across the U.S. and Canada, with a comprehensive benefits package and equal opportunity employment.

Responsibilities include welding in various positions, reading blueprints, and ensuring parts meet specifications while following strict safety procedures. All skill levels are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must hold a current welding certification or graduate of a welding-focused trade program.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and manuals.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb or balance, and lift over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operates welding equipment using processes such as TIG, MIG, flux-core, plasma, and SMAW.
• Wears safety equipment and maintains safe work habits.
• Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Clamps, tack-welds, heat-bends, grinds or bolts parts to achieve correct configurations.
• Monitors welding processes to avoid overheating, warping, or distortion; inspects pieces for defects.
• Recognizes, sets up and uses common hand and power tools for welding.
• Lays out and aligns parts using straight edges, calipers, and rulers.

Our headquarters is in Minnesota; our buildings can be found in most U.S states and Canadian provinces, as well as countries around the world. We are growing and in need of Certified Welders to join our team. The hours for this position are Monday - Thursday from 6AM-4:30PM, with occasional over-time on Fridays as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Operates manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, and flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and shielded metal arc, resistance welding, and submerged arc welding.
• Operates safety equipment and uses safe work habits while performing his job function.
• Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
• Clamps, holds, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolts component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
• Monitors the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts of warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of materials.The Welder examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Recognizes, sets up, and operates hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straight edges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must hold a current welding certification or be a graduate of a trade school with the primary focus in welding.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
  • stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
  • Follow safety procedures including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment
