Legacy Building Solutions LLC is actively seeking Welders to join our Minnesota team. Work hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, with occasional overtime on Fridays. All skill levels are encouraged to apply and training is provided where needed.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and a welding certification or welding trade school background. The role requires reading safety rules and lifting over 50 pounds, with multiple welding positions performed daily.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current welding certification or graduate of a welding trade school.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedures.
  • Physical requirements: stand, walk, lift over 50 lbs, and work in various welding positions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment (GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW) to weld metal components.
  • Follow safety procedures and use PPE.
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
  • Clamp, fit, tack-weld, and align parts prior to welding.
  • Inspect pieces and measure for conformance to specs.

Legacy Building Solutions specializes in highly custom, large and specialty fabric structures. Our headquarters is in Minnesota; our buildings can be found in most U.S states and Canadian provinces, as well as countries around the world. We're dedicated to providing the highest quality service along with the best fabric buildings in the industry.

We are growing and in need of Welders to join our team. The hours for this position are Monday - Thursday from 6AM-4:30PM, with occasional over-time on Fridays as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Operates manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, and flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and shielded metal arc, resistance welding, and submerged arc welding.
  • Operates safety equipment and uses safe work habits while performing his job function.
  • Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
  • Clamps, holds, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolts component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
  • Monitors the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts of warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of materials.The Welder examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Recognizes, sets up, and operates hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
  • Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straight edges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must hold a current welding certification or be a graduate of a trade school with the primary focus in welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
    1. stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear.
    2. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
    3. The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
    4. Follow safety procedures including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment
