Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a skilled welder/fabricator to read work orders, interpret weld procedures, and perform fit-ups and structural welds at our Houston area operation.

The role requires welding across GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SAW and SMAW processes, ability to read prints and WPS, ASME awareness, strong attention to detail, and the stamina to work 8–10 hour shifts with occasional overtime; lifting up to 40 lbs, and prior forklift experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Welder qualification test required as part of application process.
• Familiar with ASME code requirements a plus.
• Able to produce “x-ray quality” welds.
• Able to read and interpret Prints, WPS, Specifications, Work Instructions.
• Fabrication & Mechanical skills a plus.
• Ability to stand, crouch, bend for 8-10 hour shifts.
• Must be able lift up to 40 Lbs. on occasion.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• Problem solving skills.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders, modification procedures, and weld procedures.
• Perform fit-ups, structural welds, pressure containing welds, and overlay welds as required
• Weld procedures including GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SAW, SMAW, using a variety of materials.
• Overtime and weekend work required.
