Qualifications

Job Title: Welder
Job Description

This role is ideal for an experienced welder who can accurately read and interpret blueprints, rework instructions, work orders, and engineering orders, while following both written and verbal directions. You will contribute to producing high-quality fabricated steel products, with a strong focus on detail, efficiency, and time management. Robotic welding experience is helpful and will be an asset in this position.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, rework instructions, work orders, and engineering orders to complete welding and fabrication tasks accurately.
  • Produce high-quality welded products that meet established specifications and quality standards.
  • Operate MIG welding equipment and related tools to weld and fabricate steel components.
  • Use grinding tools and other finishing equipment to prepare and finish welded parts as required.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and collaborate across all aspects of the product line to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Maintain strong attendance and punctuality to support manufacturing plans and uphold individual accountability.
  • Apply proper lifting techniques at all times, including correct hoist usage and seeking assistance when needed, to ensure safe material handling.
  • Keep the work area neat, clean, and organized to support safety and efficiency.
  • Wear proper safety gear when and where required, including weld helmet, gloves, shields, and steel-toed boots.
  • Adopt and promote a “safety first” attitude to help maintain an injury‑free workplace.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in designated work areas.
  • Perform other related duties as needed to support manufacturing operations.
Essential Skills
  • At least 2 years of welding experience.

Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing environment with welding and fabrication equipment, including MIG welders, grinders, and hoists. Work is performed on‑site in a production facility where adherence to safety protocols is essential. The standard work schedule includes Monday through Thursday shifts, with one shift running from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM and another from 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM, providing extended workdays with consistent hours. Team members are expected to wear appropriate safety attire, including weld helmets, gloves, shields, steel‑toed boots, and other required PPE, and to maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sioux Falls, SD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 – $27.00/hr.
