Purpose of Position
A Fitter/Welder will work either individually or as part of a small team to produce sheet metal weldments. These weldments must meet the dimensional specifications of mechanical engineered drawings. The Fitter/Welder will determine, from the drawing, where each weld is to be performed, and meet the size and length requirements within specified tolerances. They are also responsible for cosmetic or appearance specifications of the weldment, which may include grinding welds and buffing sheet metal.
Work is performed in a shop environment with exposure to shop elements. Employees must follow safety policies and wear PPE as required. Not eligible for relocation or sponsorship.
