Base pay range

$22.00/hr - $38.00/hr

Description

Dogwood Industries is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team in Sedro-Woolley. The successful candidate will be able to efficiently and accurately weld steel assemblies from plans, specifications, and quality control hold points, perform simple fittings, and process complex parts for assembly. Must understand written and verbal instructions, follow dimensional and welding drawings, and produce quality welds within the process.

Responsibilities

• Welding competency in all positions
• Set weld machines to optimal parameters according to WPS
• Understand weld symbols and prepare joints per code
• Utilize jigs and fixtures as appropriate
• Perform basic fitting work as instructed
• Place welds of proper size, spacing, and sequence per work instructions
• Read and interpret shop plans, blueprints, and work orders
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of welding experience or trade school education
• Certified welder with current WABO or AWS certification (FCAW)
• Skillful operation of non-specialized metalworking equipment
• Understand and apply visual inspection criteria in pre-QC checks

Physical Requirements

Must have full mobility, be able to reach overhead, work in various positions, lift up to 70 pounds, and perform strenuous activities. Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and odors is expected.
