Position Summary: The primary responsibility is welding various metal types to create components used to assemble the finished product, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timeliness.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Safe operation of MIG welding machines and other tools.
  • Create quality and accurate welds according to blueprints; inspect welds for accuracy.
  • Prepare products by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting steel parts.
  • Change welding wire and shielding gas tanks as needed.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations, ensuring equipment is properly set up and used safely.
  • Operate forklift if required and certified.
  • Perform inspections on products before, during, and after assembly.
  • Monitor equipment functionality and request maintenance when needed.
  • Perform basic maintenance and repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Attention to detail, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and hand tools.
  • Ability to use measuring tools.
  • Willingness to cross-train in other departments.
  • Pre-employment drug test required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, grip, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 70 pounds occasionally.
  • Combination of trade school and/or 2 years practical experience.
