Job summary

Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday: 7AM - 4PM (Overtime Eligible!)

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Must have previous welding experience with both manual and semi-automatic processing (electric arc 'stick', gas welding)
• Must hold at a minimum an AWS D1.1 certification for unlimited thickness in a 3G or 4G position using the FCAW process outer shield wire (E71 T-1)
• Certified welders in structural steel both manual and semi-automatic are preferred
• This role is outdoors in the yard
• Experience with spot welding and large repairs on mild and carbon steel is highly preferred
• Experience with tack welding, converting tap measure to decimals, competent with welding tools and reverse engineering at times to do major repairs
• Previous experience using mathematics to measure, solve problems and confirm sizes
• Assisting the branch members with building trench and MAP shoring
• Come ready to move; physical exertion is a big part of this job (lifting, bending, standing)
